One of our key clients has an urgent requirement for a Substation Team Leader to be based at their offices in either Salford, Warwick, Derby or London on a permanent basis (Hybrid Working available). This is a great opportunity to join a specialist engineering company who have a global reach and offer the opportunity to work on a range of large infrastructure projects across the Nuclear, Defence, Life Science, Power and Rail sectors.

As Substation Team Leader you will be responsible for project resourcing, identifying recruitment needs, leading on tender/ proposals and getting involved in projects (more overview than day to day i.e. design approvals, quality delivery, upskilling staff).
This is a great opportunity for someone with a technical background (Substation Design essential) who is looking for the next challenge and wants to get involved in team management, project resourcing, recruitment and business development/ work winning.
My client would be keen to speak to candidates with the following expertise:
- Must have a minimum of 8 years Substation design experience with either National grid and/or SSE projects
- Experience within Electrical Transmission
- Must have proven experience in team management and resourcing
- Must have involved in Business development and work winning experience
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related STEM discipline
